Coach Choi Yong-soo, who changed the starting lineup in the last Gwangju FC match, came out with the same lineup as the Gwangju match. In the 3-4-3- formation, Yang Hyeon-Jun, Park Sang-Hyuk, and Kim Dae-Woo formed a three-top team, and Seo Min-Woo and Han Han-Young were deployed in the midfield. The left and right wingbacks consisted of Jung Seung-yong and Yoo In-soo, and the three-back consisted of Yoon Seok-young, Kim Young-bin, and Lee Woong-hee. Lee Gwang-yeon, who played a big role against Gwangju, put on goalkeeper gloves once again.

Park Sang-hyeok calmly pushed the ball into the goal and scored the opening goal. It was a goal that broke Gangwon’s scoreless streak of 3 games in a row, and it was Park Sang-hyuk’s professional debut goal, which debuted in 2021. Park Sang-hyeok scored his first goal in 27 matches of his professional debut. In addition, it was Yang Hyun-jun’s first attack point this season.
In the 31st minute of the first half, Seo Min-woo attempted a mid-range shot amid strong forward pressure from Gangwon, but the ball rolled weakly and was hugged by the goalkeeper. In the 35th minute of the first half, Willian attempted a witty breakthrough from the left side of the arc and passed it to Lim Sang-hyup, who was in the box. The first half ended with Gangwon leading.
Seoul, who struggled in the first half, used three replacement cards at the start of the second half. Park Soo-il, Kwon Wan-kyu, and Ilyuchenko were removed, and Lee Tae-seok, Lee Han-beom, and Hwang Ui-jo were put in. However, Gangwon scored a goal in the first attack of the second half, as Seoul, who made a change, put it to shame. A long ball flew from the rear through Hankook Young and headed for Jeong Seung-yong on the left flank. Jung Seung-yong tried to break through and fired a powerful left-footed shot, which went through keeper Baek Jong-beom and went into the goal. It was a scene where Baek Jong-beom’s mistakes overlapped, but wingback Jung Seung-yong’s active participation in the attack saw the light. This match became the first time Gangwon scored more than two goals this season.
