Park Sang-hyun (40) maintained the lead in the third round of the Korea Championship (total prize money of 2 million dollars) co-hosted by the DP World Tour and the Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Korean Tour.

In the 3rd round of the tournament held at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea (par 72) in Incheon on the 29th, Park Sang-hyun made 3 birdies to the 14th hole, but made 4 bogeys and lost 1 stroke.

Park Sang-hyun, who had to leave the field due to the sunset while recording a total of 7 under par, is chasing co-leaders Robert McIntyre (Scotland) and Pablo Larazabal (Spain) by one stroke.

The match was suspended twice for two hours due to fog and resumed, so six players, including Park Sang-hyun, could not finish the 18th hole.

Cho Min-gyu (35), Hwang Jung-gon (31), and Kang Gyeong-nam (40) tied for 8th place with a total of 5 under par and 211 strokes.

Cho Min-gyu said, “I expected it to be a difficult game because of the high level of difficulty of the course in the rainy and windy weather. I made up my mind before the game, but I think I played well by reducing two strokes today.”

He said, “There is a forecast that the wind will blow strong even on the last day. You will have to use the wind and the back wind well,” he said. This course requires perfect 3 beats, from drive shot to iron shot and putt. The player who freely uses the 14 clubs as he wants will take the trophy,” he explained.

Bae Sang-moon (37), who has two wins on the American Professional Golf (PGA) Tour, also reduced two strokes to rank in a tie for 14th place with a total of 4-under-par 212 strokes.
